  • Impatiens (Impatiens Walleriana - Impreza Pink Spring Mix) - Impatiens flower seeds are wonderfully rewarding to grow. This cascading Impatiens seed mix is ideal for baskets, containers, and window boxes because the blooms spill over the edges and provide color from early summer until frost.

  • Impatiens flowers do not require deadheading to keep a full display of colorful blooms. For growing in containers, Impatiens care includes checking the soil daily for moisture. Impatiens plants do best with moist, but not water-logged soil.

  • Growing Impatiens From Flower Seeds: Sow Impatiens seeds indoors 8 - 10 weeks before the last frost is expected. Use starter trays and good starter soil that has been pre-moistened with warm water. Sow flower seeds into the cells, press into soil but do not cover.

  • Cover the trays loosely with plastic wrap to keep the moisture and heat in. Remove the wrap to mist the Impatiens seeds regularly. Place the trays in a warm place that is bright, but avoid direct sunlight. Once germination has occurred, remove the plastic wrap and grow on in a bright, south facing window.

  • Harden the plants off for 10 - 14 days and transplant Impatiens seedlings into containers or the garden 8 - 12 inches apart after all danger of frost has passed.
